“HEINRICH BAND” INTERNATIONAL BANDONEON COMPETITION - 2nd ED. 2022

The second edition 2022 of the "Heinrich Band" International Competition, dedicated to instrumental performance on the Bandoneón, starts again. The Competition announced by the Associazione Culturale Anton Stadler and the Accademia Italiana del Bandoneón - with the contribution of the Regione Autonoma della Sardegna (Assessorato Pubblica Istruzione, Beni Culturali, Informazione, Spettacolo e Sport), Comune di Iglesias (Assessorato Cultura, Sport e Spettacolo), Fondazione di Sardegna, MIC Ministero della Cultura and in collaboration with the AR'TANGO-Bandoneon Project Association of Avignon - also makes use of the precious partnership with the Bandonion4Friends Foundation and the Bandonion & Concertina Fabrik of Klingental, which will offer a fantastic prize intended for the competitor who will win the 1st place.

The competition is open to musicians of all ages, backgrounds and nationalities.

The first elimination phase will take place with an online selection and the first three classified will access the final phase which will take place, through a public concert on August 24th, 2022 on the occasion of the VIII edition of the International Bandoneon Masterclass realized in the context of the XIII ed. by ARTango & Jazz Festival.

The competition will host an exceptional jury: Per Arne Glorvigen (Norway) Concertist, Composer, and Teacher; Piero Di Egidio (Italy) Concert player, Member of the CNAM and Professor at the Monopoli Conservatory; Yvonne Hahn (Germany) Composer, Author of important educational publications, Lecturer at the Conservatory of Avignon; Santiago Cimadevilla (Argentina) Concertist, Teacher at the CODARTS University of Rotterdam and Fabio Furia (Italy) Concertist, Composer, Teacher at the Cagliari Conservatory.
